Google Cloud solidified its position in the AI development space through a multi-year partnership with Replit, a fast-growing AI coding startup. The deal expands Replit's use of Google Cloud infrastructure while integrating more Google AI models into its platform. This collaboration targets the emerging 'vibe-coding' sector, where natural language processing enables non-developers to generate functional code.

Replit's revenue surged from $2.8 million to $150 million in under a year, backed by a $250 million September funding round at a $3 billion valuation. The partnership strengthens Google's competitive stance against rivals like Anthropic in the enterprise AI tools market.

Google shares have gained 12% since the launch of Gemini 3, its latest high-performance AI model. The Replit agreement demonstrates how cloud providers are increasingly bundling infrastructure with AI capabilities to capture developer mindshare.
